Apple confirms new iPhone will be released several weeks later than usual

According to the third-quarter earnings conference call a few days ago, Luca Maestri, CFO of Apple, confirmed that this year’s new iPhone will be released a few weeks later than the previous years.

In the past few years, new Apple products are launched one week after the conference. If the conference is rescheduled few weeks later than previous years, the release date of new iPhone might also be postponed to early October.

Let’s take iPhone X as an example. The conference took place in September 2017 and the phone was released almost two months later in November.

Despite the fact that the working process and production will be delayed due to the epidemic, Apple has confirmed that new products will be launched within this year.
