Xiaomi announced the world’s first mass-produced transparent TV Mi TV LUX

At Xiaomi’s 10th anniversary conference, the Chinese tech giant unveiled the world’s first 55 inches transparent TV – Mi TV LUX. The design subverts the traditional design of an ordinary TV, which moves all the configurations to the base, making it only 5.7 mm thick.

Its transparent OLED panel has a static contrast ratio of 150,000:1, which can provide excellent brightness and rich black rendering. With up to 93% DCI-P3 color gamut support, the overall 10 panels can display 1.07 billion color combinations.

It is far beyond the range that human eye can perceive. In addition, 120Hz refresh rate and 120Hz MEMC technology can ensure a fast response rate of 1ms, making the overall playback performance smoother.

Mi TV LUX is equipped with AI Master Smart Engine and MediaTek 9650 chip, which has more than 20 optimization algorithms and optimization functions for 5 main scenes.

It also supports intelligent optimize image resolution rate and Dolby Atmos, which could detect playback content and determines the audio mode. The official price of Mi TV LUX is RMB¥50,000, and it is expected to officially launch at August 16.
